Outstanding service and experience! Roger was very accommodating for my group of 6 teenagers. Addison did an amazing job of getting the teens excited and making sure we had all the information we needed for a successful experience. The room was detailed with an interesting story and definitely challenged us. I would absolutely go again and recommend to others! Thanks again!

Me and my group did the Top Shelf Elf room. It was very difficult but we managed to escape. It was the most fun we have ever had together. Allison was the worker there with us and he was phenomenal. You couldn’t pick anyone better for the job. He made it super fun for us. We will definitely be going back to do the other rooms as soon as possible.

Immediately walking into the building, you’re already being tested! Mr.Rodger definitely gave us a great experience, and some learning techniques along the way when it came to the “Twist of Oz”. I don’t think it matters how many times you’ve seen the original movie of “The Wizard of Oz”, but it’s definitely a “twister”! Definitely going back to get past the first room, lol

Went with a group of six and did Under Pressure it was sooo much fun with lots of clues, different side rooms, great atmosphere and fun storyline. Highly recommend! Our hostess Elise was phenomenal.

Elise was an amazing host, told the story with so much enthusiasm and knowledge! She made it a great experience from the moment me and my husband walked in the door! Hands down recommend making the trip if near the area. While we did not escape our room we had an excellent experience and there is so much thought put into planning out the rooms and puzzles. We are planning to do another room while we are still working in the area. Also appreciated the restaurant recommendations frome Elise and Addison, they were extremely helpful and we loved the meal at Twisted Oak that was recommended!

Last night was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! “Under Pressure” was definitely a challenge in the best way. The story having local ties was really cool too. We are escape room junkies and this was one of the best ones we’ve tried thus far!☺️👍

I have to give it to Key to Escape, this was so fun! Is it small? Yes. Is it located in a small former church in Statesville? Also, yes. But the owners have utilized every inch of the space in such a smart manner to give the customer an amazing experience. We had a group of 4 and did the twist of oz room and it was amazing! The staff was focused on giving us a great experience. The cool little history lesson of the building was actually quite interesting, mind you this is coming from someone who isn't all that into history. Our group finished the room with time to spare. 10/10 recommend.

We’ve done many escape rooms in multiple cities, and Key To Escape in Statesville is by far the best we’ve ever done. We’ve completed two rooms here, and both were absolutely incredible. The attention to detail is next level—you can tell an enormous amount of thought, creativity, and effort went into designing these rooms. The animations, mechanics, and immersive elements truly set this place apart from anything else we’ve done. It’s not just puzzles in a room; it’s a full experience. The location is also beautiful, set inside a stunning old church that adds to the overall atmosphere. If you enjoy escape rooms, this is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing. I have done many different escape rooms and this one tops all of them by far, the owner Rodger is the best. If you’re thinking about trying an escape room I highly recommend coming here over others!

We returned for a second adventure after discovering Key to Escape in 2019. Both rooms we’ve escaped have been so thoroughly planned and engaging, down to every detail. Fun for the entire family with very unique puzzles. Of all the escape rooms we have done, Key to Escape has been our favorite. The unique setting and also the warm welcome by the staff add to the experience. Would recommend without reservation!
