My girlfriend and I did the room "where there is a will". The puzzles were really cool and the clue system they use in this room was a nice change from the usual system. We liked it so much that we decided to do a second room "under pressure". We took a break in between rooms and went back to the car. I left the keys inside the car and my girlfriend locked them inside. The whole situation was kind of funny, in theme with escape rooms. We called AAA but they refused to come without the card number, the AAA card was locked in the car and they couldn't find the account. Btw screw you AAA for leaving us there. Well without going into many details we managed to open the car thanks to the staff working at Key to Escape, thank you so much again! So we did the room "under pressure". We liked the first room, but we loooooooved this one. I highly reccommend you check this room out. The clue system was different from the first room and highly original and the puzzles were very diverse and fun. We will for sure be back to check the other rooms out. Shoutout to the two game masters Madi and AJ for being fun to hang out with while we were trying to figure out how to get into our car.

Starting with calling to ask questions and to book a tour the customer service was astounding! I took a group of young teenagers for my daughters birthday and they handled the smart mouth kids very well during the introduction. This was very well organized and put together, very professional. We finished with 3 minutes left and the entire group of 11 had a sense of accomplishment that they are still talking about. There was enough for everyone to have something to work on and every single person contributed. We are already planning our next trip here. Well worth the hour drive!

Monday evening, a group of friends who are in the escape room business and I made the drive up to Statesville to check out “Under Pressure” at Key to Escape. Now THAT was a TOP SHELF room and place overall I must say! 🤗 They actually are closed on Mondays, but the owners Kim Siegrist And Roger Siegrist gladly fit us in...SO very nice of them! The building itself is historical, and you get a little bit of a history lesson complete with an old signed document on display as part of the introduction to this room (I’m guessing for the others as well). Super neat! About the room- I would definitely rank this room toward the top of my list of favorites. You get a bit of on-theme, not cheesy theatrical amusement mixed in with the clue hunting and riddle solving. They have used every inch of this 1920s speakeasy wisely, and have included elements, props, and antiques I haven’t seen in any other escape rooms that I’ve done (I’m at 30ish). I definitely had a few “whoa! awesome!” moments while playing and soaking it all in my eyeballs🤪. The few things that could be seen as the “down side”of the room are: •The room is upstairs with no elevator; hence, I would not recommend folks with a disability or hardship to do this room😞; however, a downstairs game is available. •The maximum number of players I believe is 6, but I think that’s too many. I would go with a group of no more than 4 so that way it’s not as tight and everyone will be able to see all parts of the room. Don’t read the bullet points as complaints, but rather as suggestions. I live on the Charlotte/Mint Hill line. The long drive up to Key to Escape is well worth it. From the neat building to the super nice owners to the well designed room, my first experience at Key to Escape was fantastic. And to top it all off, they send you home with a FREE key keychain! I highly recommend this place for sure and will be back to check out the other 2 rooms for my upcoming birthday👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽!

This place has some of the best rooms I have done in the city. I would highly recommend you come and try one if you are on the fence. Very well themed and well thought out. I did two of their rooms each very different. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Can not wait to see what else they have in store!

Good experience over all. Owners very much enjoy what they do. Was a great place for a team building event with my co workers. The building is historic and they use some of the beautiful architecture to their benefits and include in the game.
